Terms & Conditions of Bouncy Castle Hire
The following terms and conditions form the basis of the agreement between you (the hirer) and we (Modern Day Bounce House) for the duration of your rental period. Please follow our hire terms carefully, and contact us if you have any questions or require further information.
- It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that the bouncy castle or inflatable is not damaged, and to take reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of those who use the bouncy castle.
- A responsible adult must supervise the bouncy castle at all times. This responsible adult must be over 18 and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Adults, teenagers and children over the age of 12 are only permitted to use our adult bouncy castles.
- Larger and older children must not be on the bouncy castle at the same time as smaller and younger children.
- The bouncy castle must not be overcrowded. Limit the number of people using the inflatable to ensure everyone's safety.
- It is not permitted to climb or sit on to the walls or roof of the bouncy castle.
- Fighting, pushing or otherwise aggressive or boisterous behaviour is not permitted on or near the bouncy castle.
- Do not bring any food, drink or chewing gum on or near the unit.
- Do not bring any sharp or hard objects on to the bouncy castle, including but not limited to footwear, glasses, watches, jewellery, belts, keys or chains.
- Do not expose the bouncy castle to party poppers, silly string, face paints or any other messy items.
- Animals are not permitted on or near the bouncy castle.
- Keep the bouncy castle away from open flames and smoke, including cigarettes and barbecues.
- People must not use the bouncy castle if they have broken bones, heart problems, back problems, neck problems or conditions such as pregnancy.
- Do not use the bouncy castle if you feel unwell in any way.
- The front step is to be used for getting on and off the bouncy castle, and should not be used for bouncing.
- if the interior of the bouncy castle becomes wet, it should not be used until it is dry. Rainwater can be wiped away with a towel.
- If the blower stops working or the bouncy castle begins to deflate, please get everyone off the unit as quickly as possible. Our blowers have a safety reset button - press this, and if it does not work, check that the tube is still attached and that the fuses have not blown.
- If the blower overheats, switch it off at the mains, wait two minutes and switch it on again.
- Turn off the blower if the bouncy castle is not in use.
- If you cannot get the blower to work, please contact us as soon as possible.
- Turn off the blower in very heavy rain.
- Keep the blower at least one metre away from the bouncy castle at all times.
- Keep clear of the bouncy castle during inflation and deflation.
- Keep children away from blowers, generators and other electrical items.
- Do not remove or alter our anchor points, stakes, weights, sandbags or other anchorage devices.
- Do not attempt to move the bouncy castle.
- If the bouncy castle is returned in an unacceptable manner - i.e if it is damaged or dirty - the hirer will be liable to pay for any cleaning costs, plus any associated losses, including lost earnings.
- Modern Day Bounce House has public liability insurance. If this insurance is required due to negligence, recklessness or maliciousness on the part of the hirer or any associated party, the hirer will be liable for any excess payments required.
